Let’s just start this out with Tankenstein:

Yes, that’s a kazoo.  Yes, that’s a punk band.

Goofy, garage, punk.  Guaranteed good time. How can you NOT love a song about a vampire girlfriend?

In fact, Amanda decided to wear her old school Rowdy Roddy Piper T shirt to the first night of Crash Safely because the Ankles are playing.  One-up her and wear your Macho Man Randy Savage gear!

We’re on WMFO this Tues!

We’ll be guests on Skybar Lusardi‘s show  on WMFO this Tuesday at 8pm!  He’ll be spinning tunes by all of the bands involved in Crash Safely, and Amanda will be on hand with some tracks and all of the information about both nights (including the proper ways to sway the raffle in your favor).

Just don't get grounded throwing lightswitch raves beforehand.

Meet the bands: Unnatural Axe

Do we really have to introduce, you, oh Boston music lover, to Unnatural Axe? Maybe this will jog your memory:

Maybe Cheetah Chrome should introduce you.

That’s a lot of black and white, now.

Think you’ll catch ’em next time?  You’ll be waiting- this is their ONLY area show this year.

Bring yer whole guild!

Meet the bands: Muck and the Mires

Many of the bands who play Crash Safely are ultra, mega busy.  However, our local garage rock heroes, Muck and the Mires, will be coming to Crash Safely from from a very busy schedule overseas….

In case you didn't know.

In case you didn’t know.

If you follow them on Facebook, you’ll already know about the wondrous inventions they have discovered (spiral escalators!).  You’ll also know that they’ve been around the world, spreading their cool stage clothes and amazing garage rock sound.    If you’re new to the world of Muck, here’s a great introduction:

Muck graces the Midway stage on 10/17, with The Dents, The Sprained Ankles, Gymnasium and The Phil Aiken Army!   Grab your tickets for what’s sure to be a mucky great time!
